From the reviews
I have never loved to exercise, until I visited the Bike Barre. It is the most welcoming, inclusive, and exhilarating experience. All of the classes with Megan and Allison have been next level, but I truly believe you can’t go wrong with any instructor you choose.
What a great way to workout and get healthy movement in! This is exactly what Cookeville needed. The instructors are so friendly, kind and encouraging! They provide modifications (which, as a freshly postpartum girl, I definitely need/use!) and make working out so much FUN!
Love it here! This is the first class I have not only stuck with and enjoyed, but I actually look forward to going each time! Great for different fitness levels. Megan and her crew make everyone feel welcome and give great instructions on modifications for those who need it.
My favorite barre class, hands down. The instructors are encouraging but still push you, and every class is a great workout. The studio is clean, welcoming, and has such a positive vibe. I always leave feeling stronger (and a little shaky). 10/10 recommend!
Your first barre class at The Bike Barre - Cookeville
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
