From the reviews
As one of the barre instructors at Pure Barre White Plains I would like to give my admiration and gratitude to this studio’s owners Caitie and Ashley! They always go out of their way to make the instructors and the clients at this studio feel like family.
Quality, professional & amazing instructors/owners. I love it here. Joined this studio 4 months ago. From my very first class, the owners and instructors were lovely. I’ve gone to several barre studios in Manhattan and nothing compares to the instructors here at the White Plains location.
Being a part of the White Plains Pure Barre community has truly been life-changing. The classes challenge me, the instructors inspire me, and the friendships I’ve formed have become a part of my life.
Finally found a workout I could be consistent with and have now been going to this Pure Barre location for over 4 years! The workouts totally helped me get my core back after 2 kids. Love all the instructors here, especially the owner Caitie. Convenient times offered for classes.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
