From the reviews

It’s officially my one month anniversary with Pure Barre! I am really proud of myself for consistently showing up for myself and my wellness, and grateful to Bella and the PureBarre Redmond team for maintaining a positive environment to grow.

I hate all types of exercise, with the exception of running. I used to run when I lived in AZ, but I find it too challenging to run in WA due to the weather. I was on the hunt for something else I could do instead, because while I hate exercise, I understand its importance. I decided to try barre.

PB Redmond is my happy place ☺️ I’ve been a Pure Barre Redmond member for 4 years, regularly attending classes in person and online during the pandemic, and a PB member in other cities prior to that. This is the best studio I’ve visited, from incredible instructors to a great location and well-maintained facility.

★★★★★ — Katie, Nov 2023

I’ve been coming here since shortly after 2021 and absolutely love the vibe, the teachers, and the community. There are multiple classes I enjoy, and the inspiring staff make it easy to stay motivated.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
