From the reviews
When I first went into Pure Barre, I thought I'd have it made because I've done ballet before. "Oh I know how hard barre is. I can suck it up and do this and make it look easy." Ha. Wrong. My muscles were violently shaking while this possibly evil woman told me, "Embrace the shake!
After 4 years together, I'm still absolutely in love with Pure Barre! This ever evolving workout is challenging and fun with energetic instructors and staff who are truly passionate about making a positive impact with every'body' they touch ;)
Pure Barre is my home away from home! I came for the workout and stayed for the community. Katie is an amazing and involved owner with a passion for Pure Barre! If you’re looking for a group of strong & diverse women this is the place for you!!
Love Pure Barre! I’ve been coming here and the Greenlake studio for ~1 year and have noticed such an improvement in my strength and overall well being. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Best part of my day!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
