From the reviews
Pure Barre is nice. The atmosphere is great and the instructors are really sweet. I enjoy going because it allows me to have a moment to myself, Jess focuses on us embracing a second to have gratitude and appreciate ourselves for showing up which I love.
I was a bit nervous going into a group workout setting, (I attended the foundations intro class), but the staff was so friendly and helpful that all my worries melted away! When I walked in I was immediately greeted with smiles on friendly faces and a chorus of hellos.
Grateful I gave Pure Barre Clarksville a try last Christmas time. I needed to add more intentional movement to my life and this is the perfect fit! The instructors and staff are very welcoming and encouraging as you learn the movements and different class types.
I've been on a weight loss and fitness journey for a couple decades with little success. After recently losing a large amount of weight, I realized that I now needed to get fit. I've tried gyms, personal trainers, cross fit and workout videos throughout the years and they weren't for me.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
