From the reviews
I have loved the past three months of barre3. The instructors are kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging. I look forward to class every week, and barre3 has become a regular part of my exercise routine. The classes are a combination of weights, cardio, and yoga poses, so you feel like you get a good full body workout.
My favorite fitness studio in Nashville! Welcoming and a good whole body workout - I have been coming consistently for over a year and recommend it to all my friends! All Of the instructors are wonderful.
SO AWESOME! Barre 3 was one of my first experiences with Barre. I have tried other Barre classes since (at both community gyms and private studios) and nothing has really compared. The choreography is a great mix of cardio and toning all done with grace, elegance, and technique.
The workout is always fantastic. It’s varied and low impact but you always feel the burn as well as getting your heart rate up with larger range of motion. Not like typical barre classes. Also the instructors are all very down to earth, very friendly and knowledgeable and they pay individual attention.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
