From the reviews

I’ve been driving to West Nashville 3-4 times a week for over years to attend Pur Barr classes here. I never enjoyed exercise until I discovered barre. And there is no barre like Pure Barre. Don’t believe me? Come take a class and see for yourself ! I absolutely love it.

Pure Barre is absolutely the best workout ever. Your first class is free so come give it a try. When I started in 2021 I had not worked out very much in my life, I was 48 and I needed a knee replacement. I still need a knee replacement. 🤣 Pure Barre is a no impact workout that works out your entire body.

This new Pure Barre location is beautiful, clean and has a great staff. The class instructors and the studio owner Kady are all super sweet and helpful. The classes aren't over-crowded (yet!) and they have a huge parking lot so its supe convenient. Lots of cute apparel for sale, too. Great studio!

I've been a member at this studio for over a year and I have nothing but great things to say! The owner and teachers are so sweet and helpful. Also, it's a killer workout. I love the community they've built and I always look forward to going to class.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
