From the reviews
I had a great first experience! The process to sign up for an intro class was incredibly easy and seamless. I received clear, friendly communication from the team ahead of time, which made it easy to come prepared and know exactly what to expect.
I LOVE PBSWA. I started coming here using ClassPass and then ultimately became a member because I enjoyed this studio so much! The classes made me feel so strong and the instructors are all amazing. They make it such a fun environment which makes a very hard workout feel like a blast.
I love Pure Barre and was so excited when they opened this location right next to my house. The instructors are amazing (especially Carrie) and the classes are always pleasantly challenging. They also keep it interesting.
I tried an intro foundations class today for the first time. (It’s free!!) I’ve taken one barre class before, but it was years ago. When I take group fitness classes, I can get in my head about insecurities or comparing myself. I didn’t feel that way at all during the class!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
