Class pass user here! I’ve used more than half of my credits on this place in one month and I have loved every second of it. Amanda and Shioban are inviting, kind and challenging instructors. Emily at the front desk is welcoming when I come in the mornings too!
This studio is so great! All the classes are great, the teachers are amazing and really put in the effort to make every class different with new moves and music so you never get bored. My favorite class has to be rebound (trampoline class) it is so much fun and is a great way to mix up your cardio routine!
I have been a client of Mōtiv for years and have been to so many wonderful classes. The spin room is top notch and always an incredible work out with educated and inspiring teachers. Same with barre and my favorite class which is circuit. The community is loving and supportive.
Joined Motiv about 2 weeks ago and it’s become my favorite so quickly. The instructors are awesome and the classes are challenging yet fun. They provide all the equipment required for the sessions along with towels and yoga mats. They also have showers and lockers will all the necessities. Definitely worth a try!
Your first barre class at Mōtiv Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel — there are showers on site if you need one after. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
