From the reviews
I have been regularly attending (3-5 times a week) classes for about six months now and have gained so much more strength and flexibility than I could have imagined. I am a runner and have participated in a wide variety of workouts over the past few decades but I have found my match at Wild and the Barre.
After having tried out barre classes at other locations on the mid-Peninsula, Wild & the Barre has become my weekly destination for barre classes. Up until a few months ago, I thought barre workouts were never going to be my cup of tea, but, my recent experiences at Wild & the Barre have changed that opinion.
I have been going to Wild & the Barre since it’s opening in June. I just wish I could go every day because it is amazing! I have been in classes with 3 instructors total and they are excellent, highly qualified, super professional, engaged, and they make sure you are doing the exercises in the right way.
This barre studio is so beautiful and aesthetic. The instructors are amazing and the owner is so kind. They guide you step by step through the process of the poses and really show care and help you out when they see you struggling a bit. They have fun themed barre nights and have fun events during some of the holidays.
Your first barre class at Wild & the Barre Fitness Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
