From the reviews
Saturday was my first time visiting Torched Barre and I will definitely say the parking sucks! And The female at the cash register wasn’t friendly at the least!!! So at that point I wasn’t sure what to think.
Torched Barre with Lauren is a blast. Her cues are very clear and she reads the class well. This is an intense workout that concentrates on small muscle groups. I am pushing sixty and I have to rest occasionally, which is totally fine. You will feel it the next day.
I am a travel nurse and have been practicing yoga the last 2 years since I started traveling. Out of the different locations I've been to across the nation, this has been the best studio. The variety of classes keeps your interest and keeps you challenged. The teachers and reception are very welcoming and knowledgable.
This class is amazing!! Such a good mixture of bikram poses and barre. Plus in a hot room you will come to sweat!! Make sure you take Lilly’s class!! Amazing music selection and she knows the class is for the students, not herself, and takes the time to demo and make corrections to form.
Your first barre class at Torched Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
