From the reviews
I have found my gym-home. I was so tired and unmotivated with a typical "gym". I was tired of paying for a gym membership, plus a personal trainer, plus a separate pilates membership at a separate business. At FitLab253 I get private pilates, group pilates, great class workouts (Zone!!
All of the instructors and staff at The Fit Lab 253 are absolutely phenomenal. I felt welcome from the first day I walked in. They offer classes are geared for all levels, with right amount of challenge. The cues are easy to follow and visual guidance is also available when needed.
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Fit Lab 253! Six years ago I was looking for a workout that would keep me fit and strong, so I could continue to be healthy and injury free as I age.
I have been benefiting from the fitlab for the past 4 years. I can not live without the health benefits it provides me. Prior to fitlab I struggled with back problems. I no longer have that struggle. My entire body is balanced and stronger than I ever have been. The community of teachers are top notch!
Your first barre class at The Fit Lab 253 Pilates Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
