I love Longevita Pilates. I will be seventy this year. I am stronger and straighter than I have been in decades. I used to have almost no mobility in my neck. I can now turn my neck normally. Don't be afraid to try this because of any issues or injuries, they can modify for your specific problems.
Longevita offers many classes in many disciplines. I have tried yoga, barre, and Pilates. The studio is always clean and tidy. Shelia really knows her stuff! She is happy to share her knowledge of the human body and explain things in a way that is easy to understand and incorporate into your daily routine.
Very nice place and clean. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and kind. I haven't taken any classes yet. I had my 1st private session last night and will be attending my 2nd private session tonight.

What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
