From the reviews
Update from previous review in 2022 - I have been a member for two years now and have been loving the community of women I get to interact with in class - the instructors are very knowledgeable (shout out to Megan, Tia, Sigourney, and Lori as I typically take their classes throughout the week).
Lisa Eppen, Jill and Kristen are great. I have worked almost exclusively with Lisa and she is a marvel at identifying individual muscles and groups that need to be worked on to achieve a better working whole. Pilates done well is a fountain of youth.
I had my first Pilates experience ever with Lisa and she was wonderful! She explained everything in a way that I could follow and was very nice. From the time I walked through the door until I left everyone was so friendly. I enjoyed my first session so much that I purchased more private lessons!
I cannot say enough positive words about Reforming Indy! I have been going to Reforming Indy for two years and the transformations in my mind and body are incredible. It is the only exercise program I have consistently stuck with. It is much more of a workout than people think.
Your first barre class at Reforming Indy Pilates and Barre Studio - Fishers
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
