From the reviews
Pure barre workouts have helped me reach my goals for my physical health but have really helped my mental health too. The Surprise studio has become a fast favorite of mine since opening in May. Everyone who works the front desk is so nice and the owners Gabriella & Danielle make everyone feel welcome.
I took the free introduction class at Pure Barre Surprise today and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the staff and instructor made me feel welcome and comfortable as a beginner.
I was visiting Surprise, AZ to visit my daughter while traveling to Texas for cancer treatment. I decided to try Barre to help with my energy and strength. If you haven’t tried Pure Barre, you should. Teachers, staff, and owners are friendly.
I am grateful that Pure Barre opened in Surprise. I enjoy the format (4) of the classes. I have over 100 classes and have noticed changes physically and mentally. The owner and instructors are great and make sure you understand the moves to get maximum burn and tone. Its challenging but rewarding at the same time.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
