From the reviews
Its been never lol that I have experienced a studio that feels welcoming. Most of the time you run into the major chains and they seem very clique-y. Foundry is not like that at all.
Tried The Foundry Yoga Studio for the first time while traveling and this is absolutely my kind of place. Huge shoutout to Sal at the front desk — genuinely welcoming, helpful, and the kind of energy that instantly elevates the experience.
The Foundry is hands down one of the best studios I’ve ever been to! All of the instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, they meet you where you’re at and support your growth every step of the way.
I just started coming to the Foundry a few weeks ago after hearing many great things. I thought the Foundry’s Olympic Challenge would be a great time to join, and now I’m hooked! Some classes were brand new to me- like 26&2 and barre, and I wasn’t sure.
Your first barre class at The Foundry Avondale
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
