I absolutely love this studio. From the minute you walk into the door you’re welcomed and cared for. Each instructor is fabulous, encouraging and supportive. Each class is a workout and a time to just focus on me.
I live in the PNW but have been spending a significant amount of time in the Phoenix area visiting my father who is battling stage 4 cancer. In an effort to keep my mind and body healthy during this emotional and difficult time, I decided to get a workout in at Barre 3 North Peoria.
I’ve been a member here for about 2 years now. And I’ll never stop coming. I love this place. Honestly before I started I didn’t think group work outs were for me. Barre3 has definitely changed my mind. The instructors are top notch. The workouts are perfect for scaling on how you feel that day.
Barre3 in North Peoria has amazing culture. every time I go there I feel very welcome. Staff and instructors are very encouraging and supporting. Great atmosphere and support from everyone in the studio work is challenging, in a good way.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
