“As much as I'm used to working out and as strong as I feel, every class is a challenge and I leave feeling like I did the work.”
What members say again and again
“Cassandra has been my primary instructor. She’s super knowledgeable as she's answered questions about form and technique that I've had for years.”
“Ashley was amazing I love that there is not a lot of counting just working with the music and I was shaking through most of the class!”
“Pure Barre is a great way to keep moving and be challenged mentally and physically in an uplifting community!”
“Barre was intimidating at first and every class is hard, but I have never felt stronger, more flexible, or confident.”
From the reviews
I absolutely love pure barre!! I started going to Pure Barre Glendale in December. It’s been 5 months now and I wish I had started sooner. I have asthma and extreme group fitness classes/ exercises always took everything I had in me, often resulting in me feeling defeated and like I would pass out.
i recently just joined pure barre and i love it!! i needed something extra to add to my week for some more activity. megan and heather are amazing. my favorite class so far is the classic. ive been in the gym for 4 years now and the classic is the hardest workout ive ever had. it gives a great burn.
Within two weeks of attending Barre 3x per week, I definitely noticed a difference with my body as well as increased stamina, stability and Overall health. I have been taken off high blood pressure and High Cholesterol medication within a month of attending bar (3 days per week)!
Love my experience, the Pure Barre team is so welcoming. Each instructor is so good at explaining and giving instruction for specific movements. The ladies who I have met there are also amazing and encouraging. I always feel great leaving a Pure Barre workout and look forward to my next session.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
