From the reviews
I started coming to Pure Barre when I was pregnant with my first (with doctor permission). Loved how encouraging they were with my pregnancy and knowledgeable about how I would need to make adjustments and modifications. I always felt I was getting a good workout in a safe way.
Welcome to Pure Barre full-body workout!!! This has been the best low-impact strength training program I have ever done with results and Love everything about the studio. Introduced to Pure Barre by Andrea, owner and never looked back!
I initially started going to Pure Barre in 2018. I was running but got some knee pain and needed to strengthen my hips. I heard barre was good for it so I gave it a shot. Well it worked, and 6 half marathons later I still love taking classes as much as ever. What I also got, which I didn’t expect, was my village.
Wonderful studio. Instructors are energetic, encouraging, and always engaged to be sure everyone there is getting the most out of their workout. Classes are easy to modify so anyone can get a good workout, whether they exercise regularly, or are just getting into it.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
