While the studio hasn’t officially opened yet, I’ve had the opportunity to attend several pop-up classes, and I couldn’t be more excited for Pure Barre Fulshear! The staff and instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in creating a positive community.
So excited to have Pure Barre coming to our neighborhood! I've had the opportunity to take several of their pop up classes and the staff and owner have been wonderful. I've done Pure Barre in other locations before and can't wait to have a studio so close to home.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
