From the reviews
I love Pure Barre Katy! Not only have I found a place to workout and get in shape, but I’ve found a great community of encouraging women who have become my friends. The instructors are the best and you know you will get a great workout from each of them.
I have been going to Pure Barre for about a month now and love it. It’s definitely a tough workout but I can see so many changes in my body. I’ve lost inches and can see muscles forming ❤️❤️ Plus everyone is so supportive and awesome! I was on the fence about Pure Barre but I’m so glad I enrolled.
Teachers are good. I think the recent request for customers to stop taking multiple classes a day is distasteful considering people choose to pay more money in order to have the ability to take multiple/unlimited classes a day.
When I first started Pure Barre, I was trying to get in shape and had no real experience in any sort of fitness regiment. After that first class, I was hooked! These classes are challenging (and continue to be more than 4 years later) but all the teachers, “barre-tenders,” and clients are incredibly supportive in your…
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
