From the reviews
I attended a reformer class with Rachel and it was great. It was just the right amount of difficult and I felt it the next day. The instructors were friendly and welcoming. If you are new to Pilates or not, this is a great place to start or get back to it!
Took my first class with Bridget at Barre Room Pilates and it was a blast! I had not taken a traditional barre class before and she will make you feel very comfortable and thoroughly explains every position. The studio is very cute/trendy and extremely clean. They have barre, reformer, and chair classes.
I found on class pass and what a hidden gem! I enjoyed my class with Bridget. She was welcoming, fun, and educated. I will most definitely be back.
I’ve been practicing Pilates for over 15 years, and Barre Room Pilates is truly one of the best studios I’ve experienced. The instructors are STOTT trained, which brings a level of precision and care that’s hard to find.
Your first barre class at Barre Room Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
