I’ve been going to this Pure Barre location for a little over a year now and I refuse to go anywhere else! All of the instructors are incredible and so so encouraging. The ladies at the front desk are also the sweetest and most helpful people ever.
Since I have joined Greenwood Pure Barre the difference in myself has been amazing. It has changed my body, made me feel healthier, and gives me time to focus on myself.
A friend invited me to Pure Barre in December 2017 and I was hooked after that first class! It is a great workout and there is always such a variety of moves/exercises that keep the classes interesting and engaging. I am so much stronger after my 1.5 years working out at Pure Barre. The Pure Barre family is amazing!
If you haven't tried Pure Barre yet this is a fantastic studio to do it! The instructors and front barre staff are all so nice and welcoming. As someone who has always hated working out, I was shocked to find something that I love so much.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
