From the reviews
As someone who gravitates toward running and lifting heavy, I was skeptical about joining Pure Barre classes, but I am SO glad I did! It conditions and engages your muscles in a totally different way and is super challenging. Six classes in and I can already see a difference in my muscle tone.
I had my first class tonight and I LOVE IT!! The staff/ladies that work here are incredible!! They were so sweet before the door even closed behind me when I walked in. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow for my next class and I love the fact that they’re open 7 days a week!!
I really can't recommend this studio enough as it is certainly the most positive group fitness experience I've ever had. The classes are a low impact, 50 minute, full body workout. Every class is a little different so you won't get bored going multiple times a week.
This place has totally transformed my fitness. My core has never been stronger likely because I can come every day due to the low impact nature. I walked into the stretch class on a Friday before a big weekend feeling scared and stressed and left feeling confident and ready with a great mindset.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
