Attended a special event class today. Let's just say, I was worked. I'm used to high intense workouts such as HIIT, but this was so different. I give this location five stars because when I walked in, I was greeted and also given information regarding what was going on.
Pure Barre is for EVERY body and EVERYBODY..I joined In May 2023 and in one month I lost two pant sizes. I became hooked on this high intensity, low impact workout. I tried to go a minimum of three times a week and much to my amazement started to get ripped abs..and then BOOM!!!
I have tried yoga, Pilates and kickboxing and I like those. I have not tried the barre until recently. It is a low intensity high impact workout. You will sweat, work and strengthen every muscle in your body if done consistently. It improves your flexibility and balance also.
I was looking to get in shape for my upcoming wedding and had heard a little bit about Pure Barre. I had decided to try the Bride to Be package, and fell in love! When I bought my wedding dress it fit perfectly.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
