From the reviews
What can I say — I love Barrecor!!! Excellent full-body fitness workouts, amazing instructors, and a warm and friendly atmosphere make this a truly special community. I am 46, and prior to starting these classes the main thing that I was doing for fitness was taking long walks a few times a week.
My journey with barrecor started a year and a half ago, at the time my youngest child was a year old and I was finally feeling like I wanted to start working out again. I was nervous to try something new, but I was very curious too, and wanted to build up my confidence and find community.
Barrecor is an incredible workout. All of the instructors are wonderful and want you to succeed. They all care about your progress. I have gained strength and flexibility since starting Barrecor two months ago. I have worked out often my whole life and am a student-athlete in college.
Barrecor has been an incredible addition to my life and fitness routine! After just 3 months as a member, I've already seen a huge improvement in my strength, flexibility, and posture.
Your first barre class at Barrecor
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
