From the reviews
This studio is fantastic. There are two rooms and a ton of classes on the schedule - yoga, barre, pilates, HIIT - mornings and evenings. It’s because they offer so many classes that I decided to try my first-ever monthly unlimited pass.
I’ve been practicing yoga for six years now and I have practiced at many different studios. What stands out with Studio 36OM is they are conscious of their students abilities whether new to their own practice or pushing to the next level.
I took my first ever Yoga class here yesterday and I must say that my apprehension for being a novice was relieved as soon as I walked through the door (or went down the stairs). I was greeted warmly and asked which class I was taking.
I cannot say enough good things about this studio. The space is wonderful, I love the infrared heat. The teachers are all amazing, each with their own style but all very knowledgeable and often incorporating reminders and cues to the other 7 limbs of yoga in our Asana practice.
Your first barre class at Studio Three Six Om
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
