So I started doing these classes with my wife. And now I even go on my own. I'm 48 and not coordinated but I have always felt welcomed and I'm getting the system down a little bit. I plan on continuing the membership after my 2-week introductory offer that I had.
The staff and instructors have been so welcoming and encouraging as I have learned which muscles I have been neglecting for years so excited to have found this Studio to remember how great it feels to work out and rediscover strength in a new way at a new phase in life.
Great workout every times. Staffs are friendly. As a rookie it was helpful to have instructors that helped guided your pose and give you options depending on your level. Highly recommend!
Have taken about five classes with this studio, so far all of the instructors have been amazing and modifications are always given. Those running the front desk are also awesome, and incredibly friendly and overall the studio is very inclusive.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
