“First class is free, and since it's a 2nd story studio, you get to see the hustle of West village while you practice, which I think is pretty fun haha.”

From the reviews
Barre3 is my jam!! Love the energy in this place. I found Barre3 through a neon coat promotion and I have gotten to take class with maybe 4 different instructors here and they all have great energy and lead a fantasic workout. Always leave here feeling great. Challenged, empowered and stronger!
My only regret with Barre3 is not finding out about them sooner. When you enter the studio, you are always and mean always greeted with a smile. I have been part of studios that you only book with certain instructors, thats not the case at Barre3, every instructor is amazing.
I am not someone who ENJOYED working out, but I knew that I had to get some movement into my life for my mental and physical health. I never thought I would look forward to a workout class until I found Barre3. Don’t get me wrong- it is a HARD workout and I am consistently pushing myself.
barre3 West Village is the best! The studio's variety of classes, movements, and talented instructors keeps workouts engaging and fun. Having dealt with injuries/pain in the past, I appreciate b3's emphasis on modifications.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
