Barre 3 Farmington Valley is a great place! I’m the type to shy away from big gyms and often feel out of place but Barre 3 makes me feel very comfortable! The instructors are so helpful and welcoming and want to make sure your happy and working out safely.
I absolutely love this studio. The instructors are encouraging and professional and keep the class flowing smoothly. I love the music and the energy- and I especially love the cool down time at the end of the class. It’s my moment of zen. I love how adaptable the class is for all fitness levels.

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
