From the reviews
I joined Pulse Barre a few years ago with a friend and let’s just say Bet had me at “let’s head to the bar” but she meant “ the barre”. All kidding aside, I love the classes and the atmosphere. It’s very welcoming and I have made many friends here! We support and challenge each other!
I love Pulse Barre! It offers a comprehensive menu of workout options to strengthen, tone and empower. The monthly membership offers unlimited attendance, with classes throughout the day and a virtual or recorded option for times when you can’t make it in or are traveling.
After hearing a friend share about her love for Pulse Barre, I very randomly decided to give it a shot. I had never attended guided group workouts before (with the exception of growing up in dance classes) but I felt a random spark and decided since it was close to home that I should check it out.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend Pulse Barre! The energy here is infectious. The instructors are truly amazing; they are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly motivating. Their enthusiasm and encouragement keep me coming back.
Your first barre class at Pulse Barre CT
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
