From the reviews
The environment here is amazing. I'm an amputee, and I got no weird looks or double takes for still trying to dance. The teacher, Kallie, even changed the choreography on the fly so some of the moves were more doable for me. She didn't make a big deal out of it and just rolled with everything.
Had SO much fun this last weekend! I think signing up for 5 pole classes in 2 days when I had very little sleep plus partying was getting myself in over my head 🤣 But I pushed thru the hangover and had fun doin some thangs!
A great new pole studio for everyone. New to pole or anyone who's been practicing pole for a long time. This is a great place!!!!!
Wonderful studio. The instructors I’ve met here have been the most positive and engaging that I’ve encountered at a studio and I’ve been to many. I read a review by someone else that said “This is the only studio I’ve ever been to that didn’t greet me or ask my name” This was opposite of my experience.
Your first barre class at Vertical Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
