From the reviews
I joined Pure Barre in Sparks about a year ago and love it! The studio is clean, bright and welcoming. The equipment is new and plentiful. All of the instructors are great, and my workouts are challenging. They often have monthly challenges that keep me on task.
The new Pure Barre studio, in Sparks is excellent. I pride myself in being in really good shape and yet I find the classes challenging to be challenging. The instructors are excellent. They are super friendly, enthusiastic and make the 50 minute classes go by quickly.
This studio is an absolute gem! It is great for all levels and the instructors are excellent at helping to modify moves to fit all levels. Also, personalized attention is a superpower of this studio. All the instructors - take time to learn your name and provide positive feedback during the workout.
I started going to Pure Barre in May and I’m so glad I did. Everyone has been super nice and welcoming, which made it a lot less intimidating to try something new. The workouts are low impact but seriously effective. I always leave class feeling stronger, and definitely a bit sore but in the best way.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
