From the reviews
The Vitality Place has become a huge part of my life! I come from Rhode Island every week just to dance and train at The Vitality Place because it is SO worth it.
Amazing studio. If you're that girl who danced her entire life and now as an "adult" realize there is a void that only dance can fill... Or if you're just trying to move your body more and need to find a better way than the dreadmill. This is your new dance home.
I took my first class at The Vitality Place last night and it’s safe to say I am OBSESSED! As a former dancer who has been looking for years for a local studio to provide quality instruction to trained dancers to continue to practice into adulthood, this checks all the boxes for me!
Barre class is my absolute favorite! This fitness/dance studio is fresh and modern. I find Nicole and her staff welcoming and inspiring! You should definitely give this place a try. Plus the location provides many conveniences.
Your first barre class at The Vitality Place
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
