I can’t say enough good things about Pure Barre Salem! After having surgery, I struggled with back pain and limited flexibility. Since joining, I’ve not only regained strength but built up my core in a way that’s relieved so much of that pain. The classes have truly transformed how I move and feel.
I'm so glad I decided to try out this studio a year ago! I love going there: wonderful instructors, challenging yet enjoyable workouts, pretty flexible schedule allowing to pick what you want, and overall just an amazing fun and supportive atmosphere in every class.
I love this location and workout! As someone who is relatively out of shape, they welcomed me with open arms and offered accommodations for me if I was unable to do the exercise. The instructors are all super friendly and they have multiple fun events and challenges to keep you motivated!
I have taken almost 10 classes at Pure Barre Salem, NH and have been really enjoying the workouts and location. I have been seeing toning and improvements in parts of my body I haven’t experienced from other workouts. Highly recommend!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
