I enjoy the variety of classes, and all the instructors are very nice and supportive. The classes are small, so you feel like you are getting some personal training. The Cycling Yogi is a hidden gem in Green Mountain, Lakewood. I have been going to this studio for about 8 years and not sure what I would do without it. This is a quality, cost effective studio that has a lot of offer from yoga, cycle, sculpt, barre, cycle/yoga and personal training. It is truly the one stop shop.
I can't say enough good things about TCY! From invigorating cycle sessions to soul-soothing yoga classes, this studio has become my haven for fitness and well-being. The instructors are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly motivating, creating an environment that's both challenging and supportive.
I am so happy to have found this wonderful workout community. With covid, my old yoga studio closed and I missed the community so much. I had never done indoor cycling and was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up. I especially LOVE the hybrid classes, but all the classes I have done are so awesome.
Your first barre class at The Cycling Yogi
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
