A week ago I decided to take Barre class, because my chiropractor told me that if I don't take care of my back/body, that I will be walking with a cane in my future. Due to my profession of sketching and sewing, I am always hunched over.
I’ve been at The Studio for 3 years now. I love the workouts that I get. It allows me to tone muscles without straining my knees and hips. As a runner, I have found this is the only workout that I enjoy besides running! The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable.
FANTABULOUSj class and instructor. Tanya does an incredible job. This class is perfect for anybody who is willing to get up a little earlier. I grumble when the alarm goes off, but I ALWAYS feel better when I leave The Studio.
Beautiful clean studio! New here, but the classes have been a good mix of challenging and fun. And all the instructors have been really nice and welcoming. There are a lot of classes to choose from that meet your schedule. Excited to keep coming back!

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
