From the reviews
My Pilates teacher in Virginia recommended trying Studio A Pilates while I was in California for 6 weeks.....she had looked up studios in Dana Point. She thought Studio A would be a very good fit for me. I was very comfortable and impressed with the studio.
I'm new to Pilates and wasn't sure I would be able to keep up. My first class was made up of both experienced and non. Andrea kept everyone on point regardless of their level of experience. Adjusting for each person. The studio is beautiful has a huge range of equipment and most important, expertise.
I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about this beautiful studio and the amazing instructors. Andrea, Beatrice, and the whole gang are so knowledgeable, thorough, and sensitive to each persons body and situation. You will always have a great workout and walk out stress free!
I took my daughter here as her Yoga teacher in school had recommended this place. I’ve been in many yoga places before but this place is amazing. The ambiance is perfect to relax, it is very clean, and the lady who sits in the front desk is so helpful and polite.
Your first barre class at Studio A Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
