From the reviews
I used to work out at the gym to exhaustion, thinking I was getting the best exercise. Since taking my first barre3 class, I have found it so difficult to return to “the gym”. After immediately making it a habit almost six years ago, I am stronger, more flexible, and I experience less pain.
I've been attending this studio for a few months now and have taken classes at different times with a variety of instructors. Every experience has been consistently great. The classes are well-structured, energizing, and accessible for different fitness levels.
Not too long ago, I was suffering from knee pain. I went for physical therapy which helped tremendously. At the end of my therapy, the therapist suggested that I take Barre classes to keep my knee strong and for my overall physical health.
Allison brings such incredible energy to her Strength 45 class! She has a way of pushing you to your limits while keeping the vibe upbeat and motivating the entire time. I love how intentional she is with her cues—her coaching makes it easy to stay engaged and challenged without ever feeling overwhelming.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
