From the reviews
I’ve been coming to the studio for a few weeks now for private sessions with Sam. Everyone is very kind and helpful. The studio is very clean and inviting. I think their work speaks for itself and no one pressures you into purchasing anything.
Friendly, Clean, and Great for All Levels This is such a great Pilates studio! It’s clean, well-maintained, and offers a nice variety of Pilates and yoga classes. I love the small class sizes—you get personal attention and the instructors are super friendly and supportive.
So excited that Spencer and his team are now open for private and duet classes!!!! I attended today with Angie as my instructor, and I’m so incredibly impressed with the new standards in effect to keep us all safe and secure during this time.
There is nothing I’d rather be doing than privates with Spencer and Samantha! I’ve taken other pilates classes with most teachers and they are great as well. Spencer is AMAZING. He is better than any physical therapy I’ve been to. Samantha is also my go to teacher, her classes are fun and careful.
Your first barre class at Spencer Pilates Arts
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
