From the reviews
Why is 5 the highest number of stars here...I'd give Energy 100 stars! Seriously, I started doing personal training sessions with Samantha after the birth of my 3rd child, she is AMAZING and so wonderful at helping you give your body what you need after birth...
Full transparency—I facilitate the breathwork workshops here at Sila. That said, I wanted to take a moment to leave a review because I’ve also been attending classes as a student for the past three months, and I truly love the vibe here.
I love Energy for the exercise that makes me stronger and more confident, for the instructors who encourage and challenge us, and for all the incredible women who show up, who believe in themselves, and who create this inspiring community. Lastly, you won’t find a gym owner more amazing than Debra.
I love this gym! I have been taking classes at Energy for years now and really enjoy the variety of classes including yoga, Pilates, strength training, cardio, and step. All the staff and instructors are friendly and beyond competent. Each class is unique which makes working out enjoyable and motivating.
Your first barre class at Sila Wellness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
