Being someone who never historically had a committed exercise routine, I was anxious to start Pure Barre and, truthfully, a little intimidated. Pure Barre and the instructors at this studio have exceeded all of my expectations.
What a fantastic place to workout! It doesn't even feel like working out when the staff and instructors are so friendly and helpful! There is a sense of community here, and a perk is that the studio and clothing boutique is very clean. Pure Barre is a great workout for all shapes, sizes, and exercise level.
Great studio & instructors! It’s consistent with the workouts with the other Pure Barre studios. For their Classic class, I’m guaranteed a solid workout for arms, thighs, seat (aka your backside!), abs/core and more!

Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
