From the reviews
Shine is a second home to me for sure. As soon as you walk into the building you feel a sense of community and an overwhelming amount of love. I love the diversity in the classes and instructors- each instructor has their own special vibe for their class.
I’ve been coming to Shine for over a year, and the routine of attending 1–2 times a week always brings me back to myself—I leave feeling more at peace. I started with Express Feel Good Flow with Tina, and her compassionate words and authenticity still bring me comfort.
I wish I could give Anna B. 100 stars! Every instructor here is amazing, but this instructor has truly impacted my life even without knowing it in such a meaningful way. Her classes are more than just a workout they feed my soul and leave me feeling stronger mentally and physically. Anna B.
I have been disabled for about 17 years. I never wanted to be, but circumstances being what they were, I became disabled. I joined Shine Yoga several months ago, determined to heal my body and return to work.
Your first barre class at Shine Yoga Studios
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
