I started my fitness journey at Switch Fitness a little over a year ago, and I can honestly say it has been a transformative experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a clean and welcoming environment that immediately set a positive tone for my workouts.
Switch Fitness is hands down the best place to work out! They offer such a wide variety of classes—Barre, Hot Pilates, Piloxing, and Strength and Conditioning—that there’s something for everyone, no matter your fitness level or goals. The instructors are amazing—funny, kind, and incredibly motivating.
I recently joined Switch Fitness. The gym offers an incredible variety of group fitness classes, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The routines are designed to challenge you at your own pace, allowing you to push yourself as hard as you want by incorporating different weights.
I can’t express enough gratitude to Switch Fitness & the coaches! I joined in the last days of Nov 2023 as a trial because I really enjoy instructor led classes. As soon as the trial was over I knew I found my gym.
Your first barre class at Switch Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
