From the reviews
I’ve been going to Salt Studios for a few months, and I love it here. Every instructor has their own vibe, every class is fun and impactful (ie: gets the muscles 🔥), and I can genuinely feel myself getting stronger. Great music, great space, great energy — it’s the kind of studio that keeps you coming back.
Amazing, knowledgeable instructors, that willingly modify class or exercises with their precise detailed cues. Each class is unique, and the instructors have been at Salt for a long time which means they are doing something right! Love the traditional Barre stretch .❣️
I've been a member of Salt since before it was Salt and can honestly say they do the best barre format of any studio. The instructors are extremely experienced and welcoming and the workouts are challenging but doable for all levels. I love Salt!
I started exercising at Salt 15 years ago, when my youngest son was not quite a year old and I was preparing to return to full-time work. At the time, I was simply looking for a way to stay healthy and strong. I had no idea that Salt would become such an important part of my life.
Your first barre class at SALT Fitness North Shore
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
