“Even after a couple weeks, you'll notice how much leaner and stronger your muscles are but not in a bulky way.”
From the reviews
Donna is a great instructor. Her casual teaching style combined with her expertise creates a welcoming and fun environment while offering challenging movement and exercises. The studio is very cozy and clean.
Donna is a fantastic instructor and her teaching style is easy to follow and you always end up feeling sore but amazing after each class. Even after a couple weeks, you'll notice how much leaner and stronger your muscles are but not in a bulky way. I would definitely recommend this studio to everyone!
The best barre studio in town. Donna is a ballet dancer and certified trainer. The classes are fun and challenging and the results are amazing. Small classes. Personal attention. Even if you've never taken ballet you will feel at ease here. I highly recommend Releve.
Donna is a great instructor. She is able to make accommodations for bad knees, backs and shoulders on a regular basis. I like the small class size.
Your first barre class at Relevé Barre Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
