From the reviews
I had never tried barre before coming to Beach Barre Body. I've discovered that it is great exercise to complement running, swimming, cycling, even yoga. I try to get to the studio whenever I am in town. The studio is a tranquil, beautiful and comfortable space. Instructors are great, each with a different style.
Beach Barre Body is awesome! As a Barre novice, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable I felt in the studio. The instructors were great about checking form, giving variations, and being incredibly encouraging. The studio itself is lovely; clean and elegant, and the staff is super friendly.
I highly recommend Beach Barre Body for anyone who Is looking for a challenging barre class in the area. I had 2 different instructors and they were both very informative. They gave variations to make the class more or less challenging depending on your fitness level.
Outstanding barre facility! I highly recommend the barre classes taught by outstanding instructors with an attention to detail. The sculpting workouts include plenty of stretching while strengthening our core, arms and legs. I've also enjoyed the new friendships I've made there, as it keeps me motivated !
Your first barre class at Beach Barre Body
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
