From the reviews
What's not to love about Pure Barre! The staff is amazing, the classes are the best workout I've ever had, and the feeling I get after I've completed one is unmatched! Last night I took Align with Faith, and it was the perfect combo of stretch, balance and strength.
The community vibe and how accepting all the ladies are. The challenge of all 4 types of classes. The willingness of the instructions to be patient and helpful. The way I feel after class is tired but refreshed. I have loved my experience.
Everyone is very welcoming and Katie helped by explaining the process and lingo before the class even started! It was very challenging, but also encouraging!
Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! 20/10 recommend! I have never felt stronger from a workout. I am challenged in a new way every time I come, and each of the instructors has qualities that make me excited to go to them! Kendra challenges me to be better in every single class I take.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
