From the reviews
I love Pure Barre Waxhaw! I’ve been going to the studio since day one and I always love my time there. As a mom of two very active toddlers, I love having my “me time” at Pure Barre. The classes are always challenging and I feel stronger with every workout.
I LOVE Pure Barre Waxhaw! Initially, I was hired as a teacher and enjoyed the process of learning about the technique and leading others in class. Candice, Jess, and Tracey are all such amazing mentors and truly care about both employees and clients.
Joined Waxhaw Pure Barre in January and don't regret it. As a 50 YO female with sore joints the exercise routine has caused no pain. I've noticed big changes especially with my back. I use to have chronic back pain from being in health care and having to do a lot of lifting and dynamic movements.
I can’t say enough great things about Pure Barre Waxhaw. The instructors are incredibly encouraging and always push you to improve—ensuring your form is correct and helping you build real strength and flexibility. Every class is a full-body workout, so I always leave feeling accomplished and energized.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
