From the reviews
Melissa, the Pure Barre instructor for my free initial class, was fun to be with, inspiring, and encouraging. She engaged in soul and body positive talk, helped me achieve my level (beginner) of the moves and stretches so that I felt super able to grow in strength and flexibility with the style of the classes.
This is the only gym I’ve stuck ever with. I’ve been going here for about 1 year and I can feel the change it has been made in my body, mind and spirit. Great exercises. Would highly recommend.
I have been a Pure Barre client for over 5 years. I find it to be a cheerful environment for a 50 minute workout. No more thunder thighs and I feel great.
Where do I start!? My pure barre journey first started here at the Savannah studio and has since allowed me to feel comfortable enough to venture out to other studios while traveling. I must say, the Savannah instructors are truly one of a kind.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
